An established pharmaceutical and cosmetics manufacturer in Belgium operated an aging purified water installation comprising legacy units that presented multiple operational issues compromising cleanliness and compliance. The outdated infrastructure posed risks to production continuity and water quality assurance. The facility required a system capable of meeting significant peak and average water demands while working within budgetary constraints resulting from global economic challenges.

Veolia worked closely with the customer to develop a flexible, phased approach to modernising their purified water infrastructure within available budget. A pragmatic solution was designed that would address the most critical infrastructure risks immediately whilst preserving the option to upgrade further as budget permitted. This staged implementation allows the client to modernise their purified water infrastructure progressively, minimising financial risk whilst ensuring operational continuity throughout the transition.
